IARU Sustainability Science Congress - 22-24 October 2014.
The congress "Global Challenges: Achieving Sustainability" - taking place in Copenhagen -  is relevant to AU researchers across disciplines. Of interest to geoscience could be subjects as  "Water for all" and "Geo-engineering". Note: Deadline for submission of abstracts: 12 April 2014. Read more here.


GSST call for applicants
After the latest call for applications by February 2014, one new student was admitted to the PHD programme in Geoscience. His name is Pradip Kumar Maurye - and he is from India. His supervisor will be Esben Auken and co-supervisor Anders Vest Christiansen. Starting date: 1 June 2014.


New teacher
Erling Fuglsang Nielsen takes over the teaching of Sedimentary Materials
for Spring 2014 (Q4).

Travel Insurance

New insurance card
As previously informed a replacement of AU insurance cards is taking place. To be valid, the card must now bear the AU's CVR No. /tax ID (31119103) and the card holder's signature.
If you need a new card, please contact Lene in the secretariat.

Staff Benefit

We are in possession of a number of discount cards from the store “Friluftsland”.  With this card you get 20 percent discount on not-reduced prices – However, no discount on "Canada Goose" products.
