Visiting Researcher
John Jansen is visiting Aarhus from the University of Wollongong, Australia, where he is a senior research fellow (and adjunct researcher at Stockholm University).  John specialises in quantitative methods to obtain rates and magnitudes of Earth surface processes, especially in fluvial and glacial environments. Over May to July he will be working with David Egholm and Mads Knudsen on studies that seek to understand the origin of the high mountain plateaux in the Scandinavian mountains: a long-standing and unsolved issue in the geosciences. As part of the visit he will join David and Mads, together with Jane Andersen and Sofie Ugelvig on fieldwork in southern Norway.
More information on John’s website.
