Research / Research Support

Horizon 2020
Are you considering a Horizon 2020 project and want advice on writing Professional and Competitive Proposals? Do you want input on how to write an Impact and Abstract section that sells your project idea to evaluators? Perhaps you are a Horizon 2020 Advisor wanting to develop your skills even further?
The Research Support Office invites AU and AUH staff members to attend three different Horizon 2020 events instructed by the inspiring Dr. Seán McCarthy, who has been involved in all aspects of European Research since 1980; as a researcher, research manager, research group leader and company director.

Staff

Karen Luise Knudsen appointed honorary doctor
Associate Professor Emeritus Karen Luise Knudsen, Department of Geoscience, has been appointed honorary doctor at Lund University, Sweden. One of the reasons for the appointment is her collaboration with Lund University on research into the development of the Baltic Sea during the last 130,000 years.

HR partner
By 15 May our HR partner Margrethe Vejs-Petersen left for another job at AU. Heidi Robl (hdr@au.dk) will replace her until a successor is found, and Heidi will hopefully also be available at Geoscience on Thursdays 9-11.

HR ST has moved to another location
On Tuesday 5 May 2015 HR ST moved from building 1521.
New address is building 1622 (physics and Astronomy), 1st floor.
Due to movement activities it is advisable to contact staff members on mobile or mail.

ST Staff Awards 2015
A number of awards in below mentioned categories are given in connection with the ST summer party to employees who have delivered an extraordinary / outstanding efforts in connection with  ST tasks:
- ST Science Award: for an outstanding research result
- ST Industrial Collaboration Award: for an excellent business collaboration
- ST Education Award: for an outstanding teacher / teaching initiative
- ST Talent Award: For an excellent PHD  student
- ST Public Sector Consultancy Award: for an outstanding effort in relation to the authorities
- ST TAP Award: for an excellent TAP effort.
Motivated recommendations must be sent to (img@au.dk) and / or (bsa@au.dk) no later than. 28 May, 2015.
