Guests

Audrey Limoges
I recently obtained my PhD degree from Université du Québec à Montréal (Canada) and I will be working with Marit-Solveig Seidenkrantz as guest researcher during the summer. My current research activities are focused on the use of marine and terrestrial palynomorphs for the reconstruction of past climatic and environmental conditions in the Gulf of Mexico and the Baltic Sea. In the coming months, I will also start to work in an international collaborative project looking into the effects of variable sea-ice cover on marine primary productivity in the Arctic.

Education

Blackboard - Workshop
For approx. 6 months, Blackboard has been used by the entire AU. If you miss an overview and understanding of the principles of the system, a B3 - Basic Blackboard workshop is held on Tuesday, August 18 at. 13:15 to 16:00. Have more information and sign up here:

Economy

Indfak2
Getting started with IndFak2, old habits have to be "forgotten" and new habits to be learned. For example, when you as the requestor receive an invoice, DO NOT press "bekræft varemodtagelse” (confirm receipt of goods) - press "videresend” (forward)  and then select the appropriate person. The economics department is working on a solution of this inappropriateness. See also instructions here:

Laboratories

A green Smiley from WEA (the Danish Working Environment Authority)
After inspections at Geoscience, the WEA found that our health and safety conditions are in order, and we will have a Green Smiley published on the WEA homepage. indicating that we have no issues with the Working Environment Authority.
The smiley is valid for 5 years unless, in the meantime, we are ordered to clear some problem, and will only be extended by a new inspection.
