Because of changed rules for the use of drones, AU has been established as a drone operator with the Danish Civil Aviation and Railway Authority in April 2023.
This means that AU - and the faculties and departments - will be responsible for:
-
That drones are labelled correctly with registration number DNK000001571745r and that outdated labels are removed
-
That drones are insured according to current regulations (self-insurance applies)
-
That remote pilots have the right skills to fly the drone they are operating
-
To establish a coordination procedure and a list of remote pilots
It is important that we ensure that the above conditions and requirements are complied with and that everyone who operates drones are informed. Filing of drone certificates is necessary to document the remote pilots' competencies, and that a list of approved remote pilots can simply be drawn up if the Danish Civil Aviation and Railway Authority so wishes. AU has developed a process for new labeling of drones and a process for registering drone pilots (remote pilots), which means that all drone certificates must be registered in WorkZone. If you get a drone certificate you must contact the secretariat so they can register it correctly in WorkZone.
See possibly the Danish Civil Aviation and Railway Authority guidance and reference to the rules.
If you have any questions about the new guidelines for the use of drones, you can contact the secretariat.
