Guidelines on use of outlook at geoscience

A new police for the use of Outlook at the Department of Geoscience is now available.

It can be found on the employee portal under IT.

Secure email

Please make sure, you always use the "secure mail" function when sending sensitive information "out of the house", ie. outside Aarhus University.

More info here:

Use of PC screen

When leaving your computer (also briefly), you must lock the screen, so that no one else can access open documents or your personal user profile.
For Windows machines, you can easily "log off" by pressing [WIN] + L.

Everyone should consider whether it is necessary to have a "privacy screen" for their computer screen in relation to the work tasks one has.
Purchase assistance can be obtained from Susanne at the secretariat.

Documents containing personal sensitive information

In order to prevent sensitive information from being read by others, non-transparent folders can be obtained from Susanne in the secretariat, for documents lying on the desk in one's office.

Update of pure profile

All employees are encouraged to update their profile in PURE.

It is possible to write a brief description of your work areas, research areas, etc., and this information will appear on the business cards that are often used under contact information on the GEO website.

A brief description will make it easier for partners and other outsiders to find the right contact.

The profile picture should also be updated regularly.
