You can always check your holiday status at the staff pages under “my profile” (top right corner).

Meeting culture post corona

LSU has discussed the positive experiences we gained during the close downs. Including the opportunity to attend meetings online. LSU encourages that all meetings be held as physical meetings, but in the meeting invitation there should be an opportunity for online participation if one is prevented from being physically at the department.

Therefore, please put a link to a video meeting in the invitation.

Meeting room 1671-241 and our teaching rooms have all had Zoom Room installed, which enables hybrid meetings via Zoom.

In meeting room 1672-114 is our video conferencing screen, which is movable and can be connected to VMeet.

New logbooks in the department cars

The 4 department cars used for field trips will have new logbooks from 1 October.

Going forward, you must also note the project and activity number in the logbooks.

Use the back door in building 1653

All teachers and students who teach/ attend classes in building 1653 (Dale's building), are asked to please use the rear entrance. You can see it from the Geoscience car park.

Theft - lock your door

At the Department of Physics and Astronomy, they have experienced attempted theft.

After the lifting of the corona restrictions and with the move from building 1120, there are a lot of people in the Geoscience buildings, and we all see people we don't know.

So make sure you lock your office when you leave it, so you don’t return to a nasty surprise.

GDPR: Personal data and research

AU's data protection unit has developed a new website on GDPR guidelines for researchers who process personal data in their research - https://au.dk/gdpr/research.
The website is regularly updated and you can consult it for information on the procedures you must follow to comply with the general data protection regulation.
The website contains general guidelines that apply to researchers throughout the university.
