We are happy to announce that Professor Anders Vest Christiansen has been awarded the 2023 Denmark Geological Prize by the Danish Geological Society, recommended by GEUS.
Anders has significantly contributed to geophysical mapping and the application of electrical and electromagnetic methods for mapping groundwater, raw materials, and pollution both nationally and internationally for over two decades. His commitment to ensuring that geophysical data and models translate into real value for end-users has been a source of inspiration.
Anders' contributions span research, the development of geophysical instruments, and interpretation software, leading to groundbreaking methods in geophysics. His work has not only benefited Denmark but has also had a global impact with projects spanning from California to Africa.
Congratulations to Anders Vest Christiansen on this well-deserved recognition of his significant contributions to geology!

PARKING OF department CARS
GEO's department cars have been given permanent stalls in the parking lot at building 1675.
Official signs have been put up at each of the eight department car stalls, and each sign shows the registration number of the car that is allowed to park in the stall.
It is important that all students who drive the cars are informed that department cars may only be parked in their own stall.
The picture shows an overview of the location of the cars. In the stall between CF 86 655 and BA 15 492, we will park the department’s 2 trailers, which are used for field work.
AU recommends for safety reasons that company cars are backed into parking stalls.
