Holidays

Please note that agreed/scheduled holiday must be taken as planned even while the world is affected by coronavirus.

Read more here: https://medarbejdere.au.dk/en/administration/hr/coronaviruscovid-19/

Sick leave

Please remember that employees during the university's physical shutdown still have to report illness and other absences to the secretariat and immediate manager.

Special sickness benefit rules have been introduced due to Covid-19, which makes it possible to receive sickness benefit reimbursement from the first day of sickness. Therefore it is important, in connection with a sick leave, it is clarified whether this is home quarantine or absence due to presumption of Covid-19. If the absence is presumed to be due to Covid-19, then you are encouraged to disclose this.

Be especially aware that the possibility of reimbursement applies to illness/quarantine as of February 27, 2020. It may therefore be relevant to report for absence from February 27, 2020.

For good measure, I can inform you that since AU needs this information in order to obtain the sickness benefit reimbursement, it is justified to obtain this information from the employee.

Field trips cancelled
