Latest announcements from Aarhus University

If you need to pick up something in the Geoscience buildings, contact Jan and make an appointment.
Jan coordinates access to the buildings to prevent physical contact between employees.

Partial reopening of research labs

The laboratories at Geoscience are gradually opened. Initially, approx. 10 people are allowed to use the laboratories, and a detailed schedule has been made of when and where these people are allowed in the buildings.

The following guidelines must be observed when using the laboratories:

Laboratory guidelines

In addition, Geoscience has made its own guidelines, which must also be followed. These can be found on the O drive:
O:\Nat-Tech_Geo-Faelles\Genåbning 1\Retningslinjer (English versions on the way)

Check of equipment

Laboratories, refrigerators, freezers and cold stores are checked twice a week.
Should anyone have other equipment in the Geoscience buildings that they need to be checked regularly, please contact Charlotte.

Split of IndFak and RejsUd

As part of the division of ST into Nat and Tech, IndFak and RejsUd will now be split.

All invoices in IndFak must therefore be approved by May 14, 2020.

All credit card settlements in RejsUd must be completed by May 17, 2020.

If you have payments to settle in RejsUd, and await a return, you must process the payment before May 17 - even if you did not receive the money you are owed.
The return amount must be settled when the money arrives - maybe this will happen in the new version of the system.

Credit card payments for settlement in RejsUd can NOT be moved from the current to the new version of RejsUd! Therefore, all transactions must be processed before May 17.

be aware of false invoices

Scammers are greatly exploiting the corona crisis to try to cheat people.

AU have received false invoices. They are very professionally made and it looks like the information on the invoices is taken from EU databases where AU's tenders are published.
The invoices include e.g project and activity numbers.

Therefore, pay close attention when you receive an invoice for approval in IndFak.
If you have the slightest doubt about the validity of the invoice, contact Susanne from the secretariat.

Graduation party to be postponed

Unfortunately, due to the extension of the ban on gathering in larger groups, we have to postpone the graduation party which was planned for June 26.

We hope to be able to celebrate our graduates this fall.

take care of your body

During this time when we all work from home, there are probably many of us who have acquired some unfortunate habits and sit in positions that are not quite good for us.

Read the good advice on ergonomy here.

New holiday rules

Information about the new holiday rules and the transition period is available under AU's staff service.

Please make sure to check your holiday registrations on a regular basis via mit.au.dk.
Concurrent holiday days balance cannot be checked on mit.au. Please contact the Secretariat for a status.
