A healthy work environment

The entire department has been reviewed. Hand sanitizers are present at the entrance doors and distance marking tape has been added to the floors.

If you feel exposed, or need even tighter guidelines than the common ones, you can contact Charlotte, our Daily Occupational Health and Safety Manager or a member of the occupational health and safety committee.

We all need to help each other create a healthy and safe work environment under these special circumstances.

Geo Match 2020

GEO Match 2020 is scheduled for November 6.

Planning has started and will continue when we are back in the Geoscience buildings.

Video conference equipment

The department's videoconferencing equipment is found in meeting room 1672-114.

It can be booked in Outlook. The calendar is called "Videokonference Aarhus GEO".

The equipment may be taken to other rooms, just be careful when re-connecting the wires.

Information from the lab

Remember that new students in the labs must take the security intro: It consists of personal introduction by Charlotte and a Blackboard security course.

Read more about Lab Intro

Remember that students are not covered by the university's self-insurance. We encourage students to take out private full time accident and travel insurance and make sure it covers accidents involving laboratory or field work.

New AU webshop

AU has a new webshop, which will be filled with all the different products sold throughout AU.

At Geoscience, the webshop will initially be used for the sale of compendiums and notes as well as key deposits for the MSc reading room.

The webshop can be found here: https://auwebshop.au.dk/

If you need to sell a product on the webshop, contact Susanne in the secretariat.

Registration for events and field trips is still done in the system Conference Manager.

Super users take over the support of WorkZone

The central support of WorkZone has been shut down and the support function has been left to the super users.

At the Department of Geoscience, Susanne and Krishna in the Secretariat are super users.
