New paper on windblown sand and bedforms

Keld R. Rasmussen is co-author of the paper "Coevolving aerodynamic and impact ripples on Earth" published in Nature Geoscience

In an exciting collaboration, our associate professor emeritus, Keld R. Rasmussen, has co-authored an article entitled "Coevolving aerodynamic and impact ripples on Earth." The research delves into the fascinating world of wind-blown sand and the formation of bedforms on Earth, Mars and other planets.

This international research collaboration integrates theoretical and experimental studies of flow dynamics and sediment transport under both atmospheric and low pressure. The project has received support from the EU's "Europlanet Research Infrastructure (grant agreement No 871149)."
