Doors

The authorities require the following:

  • Fire doors with door pumps must be kept closed and must never be blocked with wedges or any other objects.
  • Fire doors that are equipped with ABDL (automatic fire door closing) can be left open and will close themselves in the event of a fire.

Doors to specific areas may have local requirements to be kept closed at all times (e.g. clean rooms, chemistry laboratories, or for ensuring specific temperatures in an area).
