PIGA
Staff Association Department of Geoscience, Aarhus University
PIGA aims to strengthen and develop unity and a good work atmosphere among staff through member activities by planning, organizing and holding events for the benefit of the staff at the Department of Geoscience.
MEMBERSHIP & FEES
Membership is obtained by writing to the association’s e-mail address PIGA@geo.au.dk.
After registration, the monthly membership fee is deducted from the salary.
As of 2020 the monthly membership fee is DKK 20.
ACTIVITIES
PIGA holds monthly staff lounges (usually the first Friday of the month). If you would like to organize a staff lounge or you have a good idea for a theme, please contact PIGA@geo.au.dk.
PIGA holds a Summer Party every year in June, and supports the members financially for the Department’s Christmas Lunch.

BOARD
The board consists of volunteers who do the work because they think it is fun and want to make the Department of Geoscience an even better place to work.
There is an election for the board once a year at the general assembly, where 4-7 board members are elected, including chair, vice-chair, and treasurer.
